I'm so excited!  My first post!  And I made sure to do it over a book that includes Lila, because you can't go wrong with Lila.  I also have Elizabeth's SLD, and plan to do it if this post is successful.  I think this one will have plenty of snark in it because I was SO annoyed with Sam.

I never read any of the secret dairy books, so I'm glad someone's recapping them. Sam has to be one the most annying characters every invented in Sweet Valley. And that's saying a lot. Never thought he was good enough for my Liz, and so not worth crying over later.

I was so not a fan of Lila during my SV obsession days, but these lovely recaps are bringing home how awesome she actaully was/is.

I agree that Sam is a douche. This is the guy that Liz wanted to cash in her v-chip with? Stupid, stupid Liz.
Personally, I think she was lying and had given it up to Mr. Collins long ago.

Totally. Sam makes Todd and Jeffrey and Tom seem like the most sensitive, intelligent, trustworthy dudes ever. I effing HATED Sam! I hate the characters who are so obviously hateable but somehow the author(s) want you to love them anyway. Sam does not = Holden Caufield.

........Oh wait. We're talking about this recap ;) ...Great recap! I was going to move to make it anathema if Lila and Sam hooked up, but I think it was within character for Lila. Though, why she wanted Sam as even her 'kept man' is beyond me...

The same thoughts went through my head as I was reading this! If it had ended with Sam and Lila hooking up, I agree, I'd want it to be declared anathema too. And I never figured out why someone like Lila would even deigned to be seen with Sam ... I think she just thought it'd be fun to mess with his head ;)

I never really got the reason why they'd give Sam his own Secret Love Diary. It doesn't look like he cares about anyone enough to bother writing about his "love life".

Thanks for the recap! I only have the Liz SLD and for the longest time I thought her story ended there. I remember hating Sam when I was 10, probably because I really wanted Liz and Todd to get back together in that book and all I got at the end was Liz seeing Sam in her future. :|
