This arc was a full-body ::facepalm:: Why did it need three books? One was stupid enough.

Ned should be euthanized for stupidity. I mean, dude... TAKE YOUR FAMILY SOMEPLACE ELSE UNTIL THEY CATCH THE GUY. Jayzus.

It's just two books (does two count as a miniseries?), but you're absolutely right. One would have been more than enough. The next one actually contains a "flying" horse. Yeah.

I must've hallucinated the phantom thrid book in which John Marin kidnaps Alice and holds her in a mountain cabin in order to steal her face and extract her DNA to create a MockAlice to infiltrate the Wakefield family and-

Say! That might explain SVU-era Alice, huh?

There was a SVH book where someone tried to steal Alice's face isn't there? She went to high school with her and was jealous.

What is it with the Wakefield women and having exact doubles trying to kill them?

I still say Steven is the awesomest character in the books.

It would be super awesome if Jess was actually Margo. 'Cause then, when John tried to kill her, she'd be all, "I can outcrazy your crazy ass any day, bitch! Let's dance!"

LOL! It just proves that every single SV book would be better with Margo in it.

That was hilarious! I'm looking forward to Part 2. I still remember reading this miniseries as a preteen and even then I thought Ned was a moron. Maybe he secretly hates the twins and actually wanted John to succeed. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

Thank you! I'm going to work on part 2 and hopefully have it up by this weekend. I really would love for there to be a revelation that Margo became Jessica after book 100.

You beat me to it. I literally just logged on to post a recap of this!

The entire time was a reading it, I was totally convinced that it was an excuse for the ghostwriter to show off his/her Sweet Valley knowledge.

Oh, please post it! There's so much to snark in this book! I was thinking that 15 people could do it, and there would still be room for more.

There are SO. MANY. FLASHBACKS. It's nice to see consistency, but oy.

There really were WAY too many flashbacks. Eventually, I just wanted Marin to kill them so I didn't have to link to any more recaps.

Yes! Do it anyway! There's more than enough snark to go around!

OhGodohGodohGod. I have a ton of work I should be doing, but I just had to log on here and tell you guys this.

A lot of the schools I work at have Home On The Range as their holding tone. And I just realised just now that every time I hear that music I think of Jessica's version of that song in Book 2 of this arc. I read that book like 10 years ago, and I still think of Jessica's song every damn time. I've even sung it out loud a couple of times. ^_^;;

fyi, I'm still working on the recap for "A Killer on Board." I was finishing it up today, when I hit the backspace key without paying attention to where the cursor was, and I lost the whole thing. I'm going to self-soothe with some wine and hopefully have it finished early this coming week. :)
