There has been some discussion of people recapping the "Caitlin" series of books on this community. The moderators do not want this community to become a free for all, where you can just recap any YA book you think is funny. But we may be open to the idea of allowing recaps of other books by Francine Pascal. This would include Caitlin, Fearless, ( Read more... )

I'm going to say "Yes" to Caitlin and "No" to Fearless. Fearless is still too new (and, when not ghostwritten/has original writer, still relevant in a way SVH can't be), whereas the Caitlin trilogies were written in the same time period.

I'd like Caitlin (dwanollah.com did a great recap once) but the others mean nothing to me. Someone should really start a Sweet Dreams or other 80s YA recap community, but no snarking on Caroline B Cooney or Anastasia OR ELSE.

I agree with the above, 'yay' to Caitlin and 'nay' to others!

Okay, so I'm starting to think there's a real desire here for recaps all over the place.

I was thinking that after the semester ends, I'd recap the Harlequins I read when I was a tween, but I was wondering where I should PUT the recaps. Worth it to start another community? Maybe check out a Harlequin community, if there is one? A general romance community? And even MORE general book community?

Because I have one of those general book communities. It's primarily been for my friends and we haven't been reading as much as usual, so if people are looking for a space to use (rather than make and deal with one of their own), I'd be happy to "host."

It's bookslide.
