I can't take cigarettes as they are anymore, just little tubes of paper and plant, innocent white sticks between thick clumsy fingers. Cigarettes have too much attached to them now, too many caveats and addendums dangling in the ash on their tips, too many anecdotes wound up in the curls of smoke that wind into everyone's hair as we stand around
