The $700b bailout bill was defeated! Who knows how long it will last, but I am pleased that enough lawmakers saw fit to LISTEN to their constituents and vote 'no'. Hurray!

We finally built the back porch! It took four days: 1)Setting posts and building frame, 2) mounting frame to house/posts, inserting support beams and putting on some boards, then finding we were out of screws, bought new screws, found those screws to be total shit, 3) bought new screws, finished laying boards, trimmed the corners, put up railing ( Read more... )

I feel all emotional right now. I just finished having a really nice conversation with Jeff, and now all my inadequacies as a boyfriend feel so heavy. I know it's up to me to feel good about myself, and to change what I don't like, but in moments like this I wish there were an easy fix.

We now have a Playstation 3. It's pretty awesome. The selling point was that it also functions as a Blueray player. Those movies are darned expensive, but pretty awesome... too. Yay! We got two movies (Kill Bill 1 and 2), three games (Resistance: Fall Of Man, Pure and Star Wars: Force Unleashed), and a remote control to use it as a Blueray player. ( Read more... )
