I liked it! I wanted to cuddle Chris close and tell him everything would be okay. But I thought it was wonderful how he started taking command and being efficient, because all too often it's easy to play the 'Chris is a div' card.

This challenge was so much more difficult than I thought it would be. You did a good job.

I found that I couldn't - that Chris made it clear that he would go and try to do stuff after his first panicked reaction to the whole thing.

I thought this worked very well. Seeing the episode/action from Gene and Chris' perspective really gave it a new dimension. And I liked how you made it clear what Chris was feeling without overplaying it. Really enjoyed.

A nice companion piece to 'Foundations' :) Chris not realising that Gene wasn't Ray broke my heart a little, as did his fretting over his state of mind. And Gene ignoring/standing by his men was such a great Gene moment, great in the original and great here too :)

I love Foundations. I told Elf that it could have been canon because of how well it was written. You do an equally wonderful job showing the story from Gene and Chris' viewpoint but with the added bonus of appealling to my Sam/Gene OTP and giving just the barest hint of Gene as frantic with worry for Sam as Chris is for Ray.

Absolute nightmare being given Elf, because she is so good, so I bit the bullet and picked up my favourite one.

I have to 'fess that I wondered if I'd put in Sam/Gene or not, but well, I decided not to and it appears a bit has hung on in there anyway.
