Aww, this is very sweet and sadly realistic, and an angle I haven't seen before. (Not that I've seen many other decent POTO fics to begin with.) I love how you portray Meg's feelings, how she knows she and Christine are growing apart, how they grew close again for just a short while, and then how everything changed with absolute certainty. The last sentence is very poignant.
