Just a Spring Training update or two...

There were some reassignments this morning. Devern Hansack and Jonathan Van Every were both sent back down to Pawtucket, and Michael Tejera, Jon Switzer and Lee Gronkiewicz were all reassigned to minor league camp. In addition, Schill has been placed on the 60-day DL so that the Sox have room on their roster for Lincoln Holdzkom. The roster has now ( Read more... )

I know! I had just gotten back from class, and I checked the Globe for a game update...and there, splashed right across the page, was "Mirabelli released." I'm never around for the big stuff, either!

In 06 I think everything happened when I was driving. 07 was work. This year it's mostly school, but some work mixed in. Whose gonna catch Wakey though? Looks like two of Cash, Brown, and Kottaras are going to Japan

Some people on the official Sox community are saying that George is probably getting a cup of coffee at the very least this year and that releasing Dougie is a sign that they think he's ready...Right now most people are saying it'll be Cash to start, although both George and Dusty can catch knuckleballers pretty well. (I also think both of them are better than Cash offensively, so I'd be happy to see one of them get the job, but Cash has more Major League experience, so I'm expecting him to get it first.)
