One of my favorite things has finally arrived this weekend - college baseball. Baseball America has four Pac-10 schools in their top 25 this year, including the alma maters of both Jacoby Ellsbury (Oregon State) and Dustin Pedroia (ASU). Another college baseball fan! Although I know you're a Pac-10 homer, I'm a massive Texas fan.

I really wanted to post about college baseball at the blog, but wasn't sure if people would be into it. Maybe I'll do it anyway, since I think that if they don't care, they DARNED WELL SHOULD. :)

I'm only paying attention to the Pac-10 in particular because Dustin Pedroia dragged me into the conference. (Jed Lowrie was actually the nail in the coffin.)

It's a good thing to pay attention to, though! People need to learn to care - after all, the draft is pretty damn important, and the College World Series can be surprisingly fun to watch. (I also feel like it's important because one of the kids I went to high school with came to the same college as me and made the baseball team here. We're in Division III, so no one's going to know, but it's still kind of cool.)
