soprano_no_eiji and I went book shopping today, hitting up both a Borders and a Barnes and Noble. Since I have a small trust fund made up of Barnes and Noble gift cards that I've accumulated over the years, I went crazy, and I ended up with the following bounty:

WEDGEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Seriously, you NEED to read the X-Wing series. Wedge is a total badass in those books. <3 Star Wars Expanded Universe.

Wes Janson: "I've been had. General, I request permission to jump from an upper-story balcony, to ease my shame."
Wedge: "Granted."

(Hah, that one was from Starfighters of Adumar, the one I recommended on twitter.)

Definitely the best Star Wars character EVER, bar none. I go to Target and Wal-Mart on a regular basis looking for action figures and they are never there. Waaaaaah!

I totally can always take an excuse to buy new books, so yay! Especially when they're as quotable as that. And star Wedge. Eeeeee. <3

...I need a Wedge icon.

Ahhh, at Target, there was this one X-Wing action figure with Wedge and I so would've bought it if it weren't for 50 bucks. Argh.

And one of the best parts in the series is the stuff Wedge says when Wes makes it seem like he's really an Ewok to mess with the enemy's minds. It's so brilliant.

Holy crap, my roommate told me about that just the other day! Someday I will own it. SOMEDAY!

I fucking love it. So much.

I think that we should start a fan page for him, as Facebook is currently lacking in this capacity.

I found it at a con over a year ago...and then I also discovered Junjou Romantica, which is eeeeee. I like Nowaki.

I haven't read Now I Can Die in Peace, but if I ever see it, I'm snapping it up! And Moneyball is lovely. There were plans to make it into a movie at one point, apparently, but they fell through...
