I really just have to get this out...

Congratulations to Fresno State, 2008 CWS Champions!

I'm so, so proud. So proud. And so thrilled. (As an extra bonus, this means that I get to make Slumberwood win, so expect something ridiculously hyper from Sheridan and Co. later tonight! I almost wonder if this is because I managed to get both Fight! Kikkoman ( Read more... )

I have yet to go to a Johnny start. So far, I've been to two Pelf and one memorable Johan one (Monday-ho ho ho!).

The SNY guys talked about how R A Dickey and Wake chatted on the phone and Mr. Dickey took some tips and put that together for yesterday's start. Knuckleball pitchers club is quite small, no?

Aww, and this would've been such a fun game to be at, too! ...you were there Monday? OUCH. That must've been...interesting, to say the least.

Darn, I missed that! (I saw part of the game during dinner...) It's fun to watch them...I wish there were a few more sometimes, although at the same time I love how they're such a rarity...

I wrote about it on elJay. The only thing that made it better's that I was in the upper deck behind home plate with ideal views of Maine and Pelfrey all snuggles together, with cameos by Schneider, Ollie, Church. They even had their own hand/hugshake.

Aww, I hope that softened it a little bit...I'm still just blown away by the fact that of all people, it was the opposing pitcher who had just been showing bunt a pitch before. At least the handshake must've been fun...!

FRESNO LOVE! :D :D :D

Also, I can get you the mp3 of Angle Dance, too, if you want. I just figured out how to make the audio of videos on my computer into mp3s. (The first thing I did, incidentally, was record Pap and Beckett arguing about spelling. And it's on my iPod now.)

I AM TOTALLY ON CLOUD NINE! I kept flipping between the geriatrics rubber game and the CWS...and Pap finished up just in time for the bottom of the ninth, so it worked perfectly!

Ooh, really? I found a site that does conversions from videos, but it wouldn't do the whole file. How are you doing it? (...okay, that wins. I love it.)

YES. I was flipping, too, except I was dumb and watched NESN postgame instead of the CWS. DUMB LIZA. Oh well--YAY!

I downloaded Audacity--it's super easy to use. (And yes, it does. I also have the audio of "Joba Like It's Hot"--about the Yankees, but too hilarious for words--and the best NESN commercial ever.)

They've been showing plenty of highlights on ESPN, so you'll definitely be able to see it again and again! It's just too, too amazing.

Audacity, hmm? I'll have to go check it out. (I might have to get some of Josh's pressers on there. ...There's a song called "Joba Like It's Hot?" Okay, that's hilarious.)

Let's also not forget that Kevin Cash hit an absolute BOMB for a HR tonight too

Ooh, right! I should go edit the entry to include that. I was absolutely floored! My mom was down in the basement with me when it happened, and I had to explain to her that "Kevin Cash rarely hits anything," which was why I was screaming. She understood, at least.

I was very excited when I saw Fresno State was winning. And the Mets were, too! ...It really does seem like it was an all-around good baseball day. (Maybe I have to be unable to watch the games for it to go well...?)

I flipped out when they got the lead and I saw it on the ESPN ticker under the Sox game. And then I started flipping back and forth between the channels. It was fantastic. And then when they won and they dogpiled...so, so cute. And wonderful. (I was surprised - the Sox tend to lose when I see them on TV, so I don't know exactly what happened tonight...)

Ah, that sounds great. I'm starting to get more bummed out that I missed everything. Oh well. (They wanted to make the night even better...or something!)

They keep showing clips on Sportscenter, so you can see all the important parts! It's so magical I keep watching it over and over again...(I guess so! And Papelbon's timing was perfect - he closed out just when it was time for the bottom of the ninth in Omaha, too!)
