I bring bad luck, apparently.

The only good baseball thing that happened to me today was Dustin almost hitting for the cycle.

No, scratch that - something good and baseball-related happened earlier. I managed to get my Nishiura hat embroidered! Of course - and this could really only happen to me - I was laughing the entire time as the lady at the kiosk did it because her ( Read more... )

After Beltran's second HR. Jered Weaver's face: O_O!!!

Go Mikey Poo!

It's always fun watching my two fave teams play.

Weaver's face just absolutely cracked me up. He looked so blown away!

I like this fastball business! It's doing him a lot better...a shame he hasn't gotten the run support.

Pelf's run into a lot of bad luck this year, with lack of run support and bullpen blowing it up. I feel bad for the kid.

Walks don't help, though, up by one, Mike.

Tree = :(. Oh well. They couldn't stay undefeated in the playoffs forever, right?

Also, that uniform/hat looks really awesome. The hat especially.

I guess not...and they weren't eliminated, so they're still hanging in there! (The Mets are the only good real baseball thing happening today for me - and that's pretty ironic, given how they've been lately.)

Aah, thank you! The lady at the kiosk did the hat in about five minutes, too, which is remarkable! (I'm going to an anime convention on Friday as him - he's in his practice jersey here - it's a bit like dressing up as Clay Buchholz.)

Yep! My mom tried to tell me I needed to go to sleep at 10 (in the eighth) because I had finals. I was all, "Pssh, yeah right" and they ended up losing anyway.

Wow. That guy really is Clay. Except... yeah, he's Clay.

During college finals I tend to go to bed roughly between the hours of 1 and 2 because I like to go to bed with the material fresh in my mind - and besides, there's baseball on until a certain point in time, anyway, and that's just as important.

The scary thing is that his best pitches are his breaking balls and he has almost exactly the same throwing motion. It's kind of scary.

YAY TROT NIXON WATCH! I can't help but wonder how Petey greeted him when he first saw him again. Probably making Trot feel a little awkward but that's okay! :D

I admit that I was disappointed when Trot got his debut in the first game of the doubleheader and not the second one because Petey pitched the second game! I'm really looking forward to their first start together...I hope Trot's in the lineup for Pedro's next start. It would be great.

That was only because there was a lefty on the mound (Damn you Gabbard). But that's alright. I'm all amused about them being teammates again. I like watching teammates be reunited to begin with but those two? Only thing better would be if Cora and Lowell weren't teammates and then became teammates again. That one is only miles better because they're less angsty in my head. I don't stomach a lot of angst.

Also I'm finally doing my mega ultra middle names thingie now. I've only been through a few teams and I already got some interesting middle names. Good times.

Oh, right, Kason. Now if only Kason had started the first game instead...I'm excited to see where this whole thing could go, honestly. (And I don't blame you - I've never been too keen on angst, either. It's never floated my boat.)

Ooh, hooray! I can't wait to see how that goes!

TAJIMA. EMBROIDERY. MACHINE. Epic win. That made me laugh SO hard.

Also, the hat and jersey look awesome. ...And I am still hung up on the Tajima Embroidery Machine.

I AM DEAD SERIOUS. The first place I saw 'Tajima' come up was on her computer program, so my first thought was, "No effing way! Somebody came here before me to have Oofuri stuff done!" ...and then I saw the HUGE emblem on the machine. And wanted to laugh so bad. I had to cover my mouth and look away.

I was so excited about how the hat came out! She did such a good job with it! I'm going to wear that hat all the time now.

(Also, I kind of love this inning. A lot.)

IT IS SO FUCKING AMAZING. And I love it. ...I would have had to do the same exact thing. Though I don't know if I would have made it to looking away before giggling.

It looks really awesome! She really did do it well.

(Me too. Even if it's over now. I kept screaming and got lucky Dad didn't wake up.)

I'm taking my friend tomorrow so she can get a hat made, too, so I'll try to get a picture of it. It's great. (Tajima wanted to pose with it and have a picture earlier, though.)

The scary part was that it only took about five minutes. Tajima is FAST!

(It was fantastic. Pelf is getting RUN SUPPORT! HOKY SHIT!)
