I'm still awake because I was just putting the finishing touches on a picture of Papelbon that I drew based on something
akatonbo posted in a comment
here. I realized that I was having a lot of fun with it, and I was struck by an idea: since this is my Spring Break week and I'll have plenty of spare time, I might as well take drawing requests to keep me busy in between finishing up some essays and reading Titus Andronicus (and listening to and watching the Sox - Masterson is scheduled to appear tomorrow!).
So if you have any ideas, let me know! I need something to do with my time! And don't worry if it sounds geeky - last night I stayed up late to draw
Jed Lowrie in the uniform of the one, the only, the truly incomparable Leland Stanford Junior (pause) University Marching Band. I am perfectly willing to do 'geeky.'
(Yes, this was partially inspired by the fanfiction requests thing that I know is also going around - I know I saw it on
jennyagain's LJ, at least. But I felt like drawing instead because I like it when everything around me smells like Prismacolor markers. Okay, not really, but I love drawing a lot, so...)
Oh,
one more thing, from the Herald: In the second inning of Saturday’s game between the Red Sox and Twins, Minnesota right fielder Delmon Young singled and then trotted to second base after a walk. There, he was greeted by Sox infield prospect Jed Lowrie. “You were almost our starting shortstop this year,” Young said with a chuckle.
Jed's so friendly. But I'm not going to lie - I'm so glad he's ours. I don't know what I'd do if he wasn't.
So that's it! And
akatonbo, I'll post the drawing of Jonathan tomorrow - I'm just typing this up in a room that my scanner isn't in, so once I hook it back up to my computer I'll get it up for you.
EDIT: This is the picture of Jonathan I was talking about - it was based on
this uniform here.
