Oh! This is delightful! I love how you've put Kingpin into this 'verse. Really fabulous! I don't know too terribly much about either character outside of really basic knowledge (all I know about Matt Murdoch I learned in 1602, *g*), but I enjoyed this a lot!!

Thank you so much! Kingpin is not hard to work into any place where there's money, I think, but he was fun to do. likeadeuce helped me a great deal in explaining Matthew's powers more clearly, since they're not too well defined in the 1602 comic, so I'm glad it worked for you!

This was a lot of fun, although I don't know enough about Kingpin or Daredevil to say much more than that -- I like Matthew in this story, though.

Thank you! 1602 Matthew is so different from current continuity's brooding, depressed Daredevil that when I received a request for a fun story featuring the Devil Who Dares, I just had to write it.

Your Murdoch kicks so much ass, but so does your Fisk. He is scary and smart and man, I love that you put Turk in here too.

This was a delicious story -- I reallly, really want more.

It was so much fun to write a worthy villain for the extremely over-confident Matthew. In any time or any place, there's someone like Turk hanging around in an alley, being thick.

I have to say, part of the reason I loved this story was because I loathe the smell of fish. :)

But wait! There's more!

I too adore Matthew's -- dare I say it? -- devil-may-careness. The descriptions of London are just wonderful, and that Matthew doesn't come off completely victorious in the end... And Fisk! He's a rich character, even if I'm not familar with him. Quite fantastic a read -- thank you!

I don't eat fish because of the smell!

I don't know how many times I shoved the word "devil" and "dare" into the same sentence, but I bet it wasn't as many as Neil Gaiman managed.

Fisk (aka the Kingpin) is a pretty straightfoward character to work into an urban setting, no matter the era, even in a city I've never been. Thank you, Wikipedia!

Seriously, though, thanks for reading - your story for me was just amazing.

I love this so much -- you really took on a challenge, describing this world in such detail without using visuals, and you succeeded beautifully.

I just love that moment when Fisk sees him in the mirror, and how calm he is about it.

Plus, Matt's little songs are hilarious.

Great story!

Thank you for your wonderful beta - I think I leaned too heavily on Daredevil canon in the first draft, not realising how many people don't actually read that comic, and, judging by everyone's comments, your revisions made all the difference.
