I fell out of love with the Sims 3 when all additional materials stopped working in The World of Adventures %))) And default ones suck so much... %)))

In the Sims 2 you just put a picture into the following folder: Documents and settings/Electronic Arts/The sims 2/Paintings %))) (well, it's in the same folder where Downloads are, if I wrote the wrong route...%))) Than you just choose an option Draw your own picture on the easel =)
And in the sims 3 I don't know...but I guess it's also possible)
