[ This was starting to annoy the ever living snot out of Usagi as they were walking through the park. Sure it was a nice day-- kind of cold out since it was winter-- and there were plenty people around but that didn't mean people had to keep giving her mean looks! ]

... man what is up with everyone? Why are they staring?

[ Shaking her head, she follows him to the corner of the park and takes a seat next to him while watching the area around her. ]

I think this was where Luna said they found the first victim the other night.

Tch, hell if I know. Just ignore them.

[He scowls and looks around.]

They're dumber than I thought if they target the same place twice in a row.

[Which means...they're totally going to.]

[ Curling up a little more, she accidentally brushes her shoulder against his while she tries to warm herself up. ]

Well, Luna said for us to check it out just in case. I mean, you never know!

[ Yeah. Yeah they totally are. ]

[He pretends he doesn't notice. Even if he wasn't slightly superconscious of the things Usagi was doing, he was just as alert as ever-- every movement from the area around them was noted with war-hardened eyes.]

[ Usagi had gotten home from the park, Luna didn't need more than a second to see that he charge was truly upset over something. The moon princess wouldn't say anything of it and everytime she tried to, she'd turn the color of a tomato and the just bury her face in her pillow...

.... So to get the answers about what happened at the park, Luna left the Tsukino household and padded her way to Kanda's apartment. So, at his window she waited for him to let her in and explain what Usagi would not. ]

[Kanda was already on his bed, head soaking wet from running it under the faucet when he got home.]

[He looked a bit like a drowned, disgruntled cat.]

[He was actually already staring listlessly out the window when Luna appeared, startling him.]

...Che, of course you'd show up...

[Muttering under his breath, he opened the window and let her in.]

Judging by the look on your face, you were expecting me.

[ And by just the look of him told her that whatever happened between them was too serious to leave alone. So when she hops in, she sits herself at the foot of his bed and gazes up at him. ]

What happened in the park?

[Awkwardly, very awkwardly, Kanda detailed out what had happened in the park, much as if he were giving a report to Komui.]

--I have no fucking idea what came over me.

NEXT MORNING AT SCHOOL

[ It had surprised her friends at school when Usagi had been not only on time, but early to class. She had easily brushed it off with a 'Mom forced me out of bed so I wouldn't be late today' excuse since it was true. Her mother DID do that on occasion.

She had only left early to avoid one person, and one person only.

... it didn't matter if Luna had tried to explain the situation to her. Somewhere in her rational mind she had understood, because monsters no matter who they were from could do some spectacular things. But, her pride as a woman who was already in love with someone didn't want to give in. ]

Usagi! It's lunch time! Come on, let's get something to eat!

Alright! Just let me--.... [ Usagi looks to her school bag, and realizes with shock that she had forgotten her lunch again at home and sighs. Maybe she had some money to buy something from the cafeteria? She scrounges through her wallet and finds 100 yen. ... ] I-I'll catch up with you guys, Naru-chan! I'm just going to go to the cafeteria.

[To be honest, Kanda just wanted to check in with Luna-- he wasn't feeling any better, and he knew she'd want to know. But, that stupid odango-brained idiot had forgotten her lunch in her hurry to get out the door. So Kanda found himself staring up at her school, disgruntled, as the lunch bell rang.]

[It wasn't long before he saw that very familiar hairstyle fluttering on the roof, and he squared his shoulders before going into the campus.]

[It was pathetically easy to get in there-- all he had to do was look like he knew where he was going. Which he sort of did-- he'd just keep going up until he reached the roof.]

[ Usagi's completely unaware of Kanda sneaking into her school. In fact, she's pretty much unaware of anything around her except the feel of the wind pushing past her, or the sound of the tree leaves rustling. No, she's currently sitting with her knees curled up to her chest while her arms hug them tightly. ]

... man I'm so hungry...

[Kanda rolled his eyes, hearing that, and silently made his way over to her, trying to hold back those insane urges to be affectionate.]

[Instead, he quietly put her lunch down next to her and backed away. He knew that if he made eye contact with any part of her face, he'd be lost. So he did his best not to draw her attention.]

[At least until he was at the roof door.]

Tch. There's always something you forget, huh, dango-head?

[Before she even gets the chance to respond, he's heading down the stairs.]

[Kanda got off early this time, so he was sitting on a bench, alert for monsters and dango-heads. He'd brought several bottles of water, and a bento stuffed with gyoza, with him, and they sat neatly in a sack at his side.]

[He hoped she didn't make him wait too long. 8|]

[ Every since their talk earlier this afternoon, Usagi had admittedly felt much better knowing that there wasn't any bad air between them or that really.. the only reason why there was anything awkward between them to begin with was that stupid cardian that she'd have to work hard at dusting so everything could be back to normal!

It was why she looked a lot better as she strolled into the park, still in her school uniform and thick jacket to keep the cold air back while they scoped out the park and glancing around, not having noticed where Kanda was sitting, yet. ]

[Kanda spotted her before she spotted him, then, and watched her walk right past him.]

[She didn't get more than a couple steps away before he spoke up, though.]

...Tch. Where are you going, dango-head?

[ His voice out of seemingly nowhere makes her freeze in place, if only because she didn't even realize that she was passing by where he was seated! ]

Oh! There you are! [ Scampering on over with her usual sheepish smile on her face. ] Sorry! I didn't see you there!
