He turned to stare at Kirk, who gave him a weird glance and went back to staring at Polina who was - Hikaru raised both eyebrows, barely reacting into time to a second ball of taffeta being thrown at him. A third came charging after it, hitting Kirk in the nose. There were a few more impressive tears, lots of gasping from spectators and then Polina Chekova was sighing happily, sliding a very sharp looking knife into a leather sheath. This girl kept knives tucked under her dress. She was adorable! And just the slightest bit strange.

yeah Polina is kind of batshit insane but the scariest thing is there are girls like that in the world :D
