This was the sweetest post. Because parents drive us buckets of crazy but sometimes, we remember these things too.
My sister-in-law called the other day and said, "Why does your brother insist on singing inappropriate things to my child?" and then proceeded to sing to me "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and said "What the hell is that?" I said, "Oh, our dad used to sing that to us when we were kids." and she was like sputtering about it. I just said, "Sweetheart, it ain't the worst of the songs he sang us. Wasn't even the worst of the Jim Croce songs he sang us." Now, I'm tempted to send her a copy of my album - you know, for the baby. *g*
Your Dad is still my hero for his picture of Jimi. And he's got great taste in music. I hope I can meet him some day, and we can go to a karaoke bar and sing "Girls just wanna have fun" the night away.
