I think that might have been the reference. I know I remember reading a fic on FF.net back in December in which the author had described Cain being fished out of the lake in the north by a race of seal people.

And, did this happen before the trip to the O.Z.? Or are we back on the Other Side?

Steve isn't interested in continuity... surfing was supposed to be when they got back... but then Steve suggested it happened before...

and now it's all screwed up...
especially because every time Cain and DG find themselves in an awkward position, they find something else to talk about and move on as if nothing ever happened...
