Moss
The marker sat along the Old Road for annuals, leading the way to Central City. In recent annuals, however, there was no one to direct. No residents of the Outer Zone had passed by because it was safer to stay at home. Travelers had a habit of being caught by the Guilds, the Longcoats or the Papay.

So the grasses grew tall, the lichins spread across the stone surface and the weather beat down on the column.

Still, it stood. Waiting for the day when someone would need that extra nudge in the right direction.

Perhaps, it would be today.

Visit
Viewers had a hierarchy within the tribes. Not as leaders, but differentiated by their abilities. The strongest Viewers were the most respected, and they had to work very hard to reach such levels. As children, they would learn from the older members of the tribe. When they came of age, it was time for their true test. If they passed, they were sent to receive the markings of their sacred gift. A Viewer without the markings was simply another member of the tribe.

Raw was marked, but had never been tested. He was born with his markings.

He was shunned.
