20 Jackpot icons

for Round 01 at episodes20in20

Normally... I would be happier with this set. You'd think that an episode actually featuring real daylight would be better lit. And, the capping program is still futzing with the aspect ratio. I'm about to give up, yo... /ranting

What program do you use to make caps? If you're not using KMPlayer, you should try it, it's never done this to me, and I use it A LOT (:
Btw I really like the contrast between your category and AC icons, the AC ones being all cool colours^^

I've got VLC Player -- I will look into this KMPlayer. Thanks!

LOL Granted, CSI is 95% BLUE, anyway.. but I didn't even realize I'd done that. /unintentional creativity

I'm a member at grande-caps, and we have a little bit of a description there, on how to make screencaps with VLC and with KMPlayer as well. If you want to, I can copy that description here, maybe it will help you (:

Great coloring on your set! My faves are negative space and Yellow, ac 3 and partner in crime. Huh, those are all the wide shots. *g*

If you want advice: your text is hard to read. Try blurring the image behind the text, or just draw some plain color with a soft brush behind the text.

What capping program are you using?

I have found that KMplayer for example only gets the aspect ratio right once I resize the main frame once. Before that, it will always insert wrong values. I have no idea why. :/

My fave capping (and video playing) software is Media Player Classic (MPC). It has a feature to put the timestamp from within the episode onto the cap. I love that, because now I always know at what minute the cap is from, and it makes it much easier to find them again.

Thanks! Personally, I love negative space/wide shots LOL

Text and I have yet to get along.. if I can avoid using it, Oh, do I. Yet, that and stolen claim/second choice seem to be quite popular with 20in20s, these days.. :\

Normally, I leave capping to the professionals, but my three CSI sources only capped the scenes with Billy and Marg. Had to get the rest myself, and then wing it from there :)

As long as they're not pixelated and squished/stretched, I'm happy with whatever program would do it for me.

I feel you. So much. I have been practicing text with a vengeance for at least a year now, and by now I'm sometimes happy with the results. But a lot of practice and experimenting was what did it in the end. *phew*

Personally, I love negative space/wide shots LOL

You're really great at them, too!

Close crop is terrific! Great crop and the contrast between the light and dark is lovely. I also really like neg space, 2 boxes, last scene, partner in crime, C4 and AC 1 & 5 :)
