Zach tightened his scarf around his neck, pulling Lance's coat tight around himself. He hated doing these trips alone, but he knew traveling with Lance in the open was not too cool a plan with the Company hopping.

After the explosion, they had sought him out again.. but almost as easily as he found things? He could misplace himself. Years of experience with the Tellers had taught him that.

Then he saw a youngish looking man who looked... lost. And he seized his opportunity.

"Looking for something?" he asked softly, glancing over his shoulder.

Billy looked over at the boy, his face a mask of grief. The kid looked to be about his age, maybe a bit older. He really didn't much want to talk, but he wasn't one to be rude, either. "You shouldn't be here," he muttered. "The city's still radioactive. Military, HazMat, FEMA, and who knows what else will be here soon."

"Then why are you here?" Zach asked gently, touching the other boy's shoulder. "Are you hurt? I can take you to the hospital."

Billy jumped at the contact, but calmed down quickly enough. The kid was just being sincere. "I'm fine," he said. "The fallout can't hurt me. Not anymore, at least." A tear started rolling down his face. It wasn't fair that he had this power. Not fair that all he had to do to save himself from certain and painful death was chant himself silly while thousands, possibly millions died around him.

"I wonder how he won," he said to himself.
