He hesitated outside her door, remembering all too well the fight that had come about going into her room without knocking. After a moment, he twisted the knob, poking his head in the door.

"You awake, hon?"

April sighed, feigning exasperation.

"No," she mumbled, her voice still thick with sleep. "What do you want?" She wasn't a morning person, both he and Kirin knew that.

He closed her door behind him, going to sit beside her on her bed, shaking her leg slightly.

"Come on and get up. We're going to go out for a little while."

"Ugh, but it's Saturday," she complained, drawing the covers over her head.

If she didn't have to, she wasn't going to move.

He tugged them back down, grinning at her.

"You're not sleeping into noon again, you might as well get up now." He schooled his features into a mock frown. "Come on. Quality time. You and me. Let's go."
