"Da!" April called out excitedly, looping her arms around Candice's neck.

Jimmy was sitting at his piano, toying around with a new composition book. He hadn't got around to playing anything yet, he was more interested in the notes on the paper to make additional noise in the house. Quiet had long became a luxury after April was born.

He smiled when they came over, and made room for them on the bench. "Trade?" he asked when he caught Candice's expression.

"All of that running and she still isn't tired?" he asked, leaning back so that April could crawl over to latch herself onto his chest. "Yah, you're getting big." Jimmy leaned over to brush his lips against Candice's. "Go back to bed."

"You sure? She's a handful," Candice protested half-heartedly, reaching to take April's hand in her own and still the incessant tapping on the keys. "Do you want Daddy to teach you how to play?"

"No." April pried her fingers lose and began to hit the keys again, intent on playing the piano her way. "No."

"You would learn those both ways first." Jimmy couldn't help but laugh, nodding to Candice. "I'm sure, get a few more hours and maybe she'll be ready to sleep."

Time to themselves had become rare, especially during waking hours, so Jimmy was always looking for an opportunity.
