She spared the woman an incredulous look as she stepped out of the car. She was going to assume for the moment that 'see' included 'hear', because it would be rather pointless otherwise. "You know these wrist shackles aren't actually doing anything but looking pretty, right?"

Hey, fair warning was deserved for someone like Candice, she figured. And empty threats and such (Not like she could run away in New York very well--she had no idea about this place.) She didn't particularly care for the idea of giving Thompson a reason to grump more--he made Bennet seem like a stand up comedian sometimes.

She sighed and shrugged, leaning on the car. "So...gonna line up behind a cabin now?"

Oh yeah, this was going to be fun, she thought, rolling her eyes and resisting the urge to reach for her cell as the Company car dropped them off. She wasn't worried, they'd be within reach.

"You're not going to make this easy on me, are you?" she muttered absently. New York felt foreign, all of a sudden, and she wondered why. People didn't notice you even if you bumped into them; being invisible wasn't that much of a difference.

"Would you really want me to make it easy, though?" She asked cheekily. "What are we here for?"

"Your last hour in the world of the living," Candice deadpanned in return. She wasn't going to beat around the bush. "You coming?"

"Sounds like fun." She smirked, moving up to follow Candice. "Are we headed to rendezvoux with Thompson and some goons, or just to a quiet dock?"

She really wasn't surprised that this Thompson had chosen to go with the option of termination so quickly. He had less patience than Bennet. (Although she had no doubt Bennet was more than supportive of the idea) It seemed it had come down to the choice of resist while she could or simply die.

She hadn't decided yet.
