It was an okay bar. It was the closest she could manage walking to from the hotel in high heels. Clubbing had been on her mind before, but she was too tired for loud music and being groped in the dark. All she wanted was a quick drink, some flirting with the bartender perhaps, and then home. Maybe sleep would come with less difficulty if she could pretend she'd never gone to Texas.
Her slinky red dress had made heads turn as she'd walked in. Now the strap was just annoying the hell out of her. Smiling up at the cute, highly tattooed barman, she flipped a lock of hair. "Got any scissors?" She was going to cut the damn thing to pieces and walk away naked, how about that? Or maybe she'd cut her hair. Like Jimmy.
