New York Fucking City. He'd seen enough of this damn place to never want to come here again, but he worked for the Linderman Group. True, he could just terminate the contract, but he liked Mr. Linderman--or rather, the vast amount of monthly payments the man was shipping to him to make it looklike his organization was for the most part legit. Aaron frowned, feeling something strange.. like static. Like that kid in Central Park only.. more subtle. A girl was looking around like she was lost....There was something oddly out of place about it though and, law-suit forgotten, Aaron approached her, curious as he was.. looking for his own fucking distraction.

"Hello," he said softly, catching her eyes. "Are you alright? You look.. lost."

His voice almost sounded concerned.. It was impressive, really. He was getting better at this 'pretending to give a fuck' spiel.

Her head turned quickly, her blue eyes narrowing at the stranger. Didn't matter what world, real or imagined she lived in, she didn't trust strangers. When she was little, yes but good strangers. Like cops and firemen and people who were supposed to be safe. Random men on the street? Not so much.

"Where are we?" she asked. Could she have been teleported without her knowledge? Could Hiro or Peter even do that? Or was there someone else with an undiscovered power running around?

No, she couldn't have been teleported. There wasn't a place like this in the world anymore.

"New York City, sweetheart," he said, examining her eyes for drug-use or anything else abnormal. There didn't appear to be any indication of it, but.. he couldn't help it. He slipped into doctor mode and he just wanted to know... you know?

"Are you alright?" he asked, dropping a heavy, ringed hand to her shoulder. "You look dizzy." And confused out of your mind.
