As long as Jimmy was resting, he didn't need her and that meant she could go have a one-on-one with either of his roommates. It didn't matter which one showed up first, the sentiment was similar for all.

It was really just James' luck that he'd be first.

"Hi, long time no see."

Jamie hesitated, giving her a small nod, wondering whether he should just head back to his room. Memories of what he'd told Jimmy making his stomach sink. What if he'd been lying? What if he'd told her and...?

"I just...glass of water," he mumbled at her, heading towards the kitchen.

She let him make it half-way there before she stood up to follow. Geographically, it was much easier to corner him in the kitchen.

"Funny, you don't look too happy to see me," she smirked, no trace of humor in her expression.

He turned towards her, lifting his chin slightly, his fingertips pressed together out of caution. Taking what little comfort he could in his height, if nothing else, Jamie shook his head.

"When am I ever?"

"Good question," she acquiesced. "Can't say I give a shit about the answer."

And then, without pausing, added: "You told Jimmy."
