For once, Jamie woke before Kirin.

Blinking blearily, he pushed himself up in bed, scrubbing a hand over his eyes and pushing the blankets back carefully, trying not to wake the other

Kirin was exhausted, even though he woke when Jamie got out of bed he merely burrowed himself further under the sheets and tried to get a little more sleep before he'd inevitably be pulled out of bed.

Kirin had went overboard the day before. Not only did he have to sneak around preparing gifts, but he had the brilliant idea to cook for everyone. And he had prepped enough food to feed the five of them for the rest of the week. For dinner he had planned a mixture of tradional Korean and American dishes that he hoped would compliment each other. And he baked, and baked, and baked. Even after a long shower before tiredly dropping into bed Jamie mentioned Kirin still smelled like flour.

"Jamie," Kirin whined before he giggled and tried to shrug Jamie off. "Still sleepy...five more hours please."

Jamie poked him in the ribs. Hard.

"Wake up," he insisted, leaning and blowing a rasberry on the othe boy's neck. "Didn't I tell you that you can't sleep in on Christmas? It's not allowed."

"Are naps allowed?" Kirin rolled onto his back and pouted at the unfairness of it all to the ceiling.

As tired as he was, he had to admit the eager expression on the other boy's face was cute. He might forgive him for not letting him sleep.

"I'm awake. What do we do now? Eat breakfast or something?"

Jamie pretended to think it over, pushing himself into a sitting position and crossing his legs Indian style. "Breakfast is an option. I think I'm going to stick to sugar cookies, but if you want something fancy i can nuke you leftovers."

He pushed Kirin's sleep touseled hair from his eyes, smiling down at him. "And don't worry--after presents, naps are totally legal. I'll even join you."

"Presents? We open them now? I thought it was an after meal thing like with birthdays," Kirin smiled brightly up at the other boy, definitely wide awake. "Why didn't you say that in the first place? I'll wake up for presents."

Kirin nodded not that seriously, "You owe me a nap later."
