I totally see Arthur as being like this. He kind of knows about Merlin, but chooses not to know because it'll change too much about their relationship. :D
It is my total headcanon that Arthur sort of deep down knows all about Merlin and just chooses to very much not acknowledge it for all sorts of reasons. It would just be too hard for him.
I probably have used the idea before - it's one of my absolute bits of headcanon that Arthur really could put the pieces together about Merlin but chooses not to because the reality causes too many problems. He just acn't go there and so doesn't.
Oh, who hasn't wanted to empty a jug over somebody's head? ;)
Thank you. :) I like writing River - it's always fun.
Oh oh oh, the last one is particularly wonderful. And emotive, and I am NOT nearly crying, no. I am blinking a lot because the computer screen is bright. Honest...
And the middle one is so VERY VERY VERY Willard Price-like that I'm grinning my head off about that. I must look very weird...
*hugs* I am glad that you really liked the Merlin one, even if it nearly made you cry! (I mean, curse those bright computer screens!) And hurrah! *pats Hal and Roger* I do like writing about them!
Without looking up, Hal leaned over and emptied a vase of flowers over his head, soaking him to the skin. Which really, put an end to that conversation. Love it!

Giggled a lot at the second. Kind of hate to see the enthusiasm being dampened, really ^^
And awww at the last, because it's so true.

Roger often suffers. *nods sadly, pats him*
And it totally is. I maintain it absolutely. Oh Arthur ...
