It's almost SIX MONTHS since I started this story and I finally got to write what I want to write for the fic, so yea, here is it! XD

He stared blankly at the sloth, which already suited itself to its surroundings and slept hanging on the tree branch. Why did he even get this creature at the first time? Mom and stupid birthday wish.
For a birthday boy, Niel didn't feel very happy. Is birthday supposed to be always related with happiness? There must be a reason of the parties thrown, the gifts gave, the treats received by the person's friends when it happened. And especially the 'happy birthday' greetings he heard today. That's just how it works for most people. A way to express the gratefulness of living for another year.
Grateful is the keyword.
He succeeded on putting his usual smile as he walked outside of the green house and through the backyard until he reentered his house. His mom approached him to say something, "Niel dear, I know that Changhyun and Jonghyun wasn't around at the moment, but I'd love to see you invite friends over for dinner later. So invite at least one, okay?"
Niel just nodded as an answer. Changhyun and Jonghyun. His closest friends. Two smart boys, a year younger than him, but were on his class at school. It's too bad they can't be there for his birthday. Changhyun travelled to Japan ever since summer break started-he can go around Japan with the amount of time he had spent-and Jonghyun went to Jeju Island a few days ago. Niel wanted to travel too, but his dad said no to summer break. Chuseok is a break, Christmas and New Year is a break, Easter is a break. But summer? No. Too much of a break. A month without working will drive the Ahn patriarch crazy, Niel was sure about that.
He went upstairs to his room, took his cellphone and browsed through the contacts list. Most were just relatives and random friends from school. And being not really sociable, he has no idea what they all were up to this summer, except of his two close friends and some family members, thanks to his mom's stock of information.
It will be awkward asking for someone you weren't really acquainted with for a dinner with your family, and it will be a little bit saddening to be rejected for the invitation by a friend just because they were having a vacation you don't know about. He still did not decide yet who to call over when the phone rang.
Choi Jonghyun is calling.
"Hello? Jonghyun-ah?" Niel answered quickly, waiting for the voice from the other side.
"Niel-hyung! Happy birthday! I love you! Treat me later when school started, OK? Don't treat Changhyun, he's a pig. Do you treat pigs? Maybe cute pigs..." Jonghyun said casually like usual.
"Thank you, Jonghyun! Really, pig? Not human? So we had a friendship with a pig? Cool, our name should be written in history! Just kidding."
Jonghyun is weird. Really weird. Your typical 4-dimensional kid. Niel had no idea why he befriends that kid if that kid wasn't smart and kind. Extremely kind to the point of cheesy. And together -with Changhyun too, of course-they can be weird together. Plus a thousand points for Choi Jonghyun.
"Hyung, I'm really sad I cannot be there for your birthday dinner. Your mom's cooking is very yummy, you are so lucky to eat it everyday. I know Changhyun felt even worse than me, Niel, you know why."
Good God, can Jonghyun stop?
"Okay, okay," Niel tried to calm the younger boy, "But since you guys cannot go for the dinner here, can you help me think of someone that probably can go? Mom wants me to invite someone over."
"I'm not really sure, but why not Byunghun and Chanhee-hyung?"
"Byunghun from our neighboring class and Chanhee our senior which is now in high school? What's up with them?"
Lee Byunghun and Ahn Daniel. They just didn't get along since the first guy transferred to the latter's school. Niel thought Byunghun was simply too annoying to deal with. The feeling used to be mutual, but time had easen it. They went from verbal fights to cold war in one semester. It's still pretty tense between them, at least too tense for Niel's liking. However random is it, maybe this can be a solution to the problem they have?
"Ahn Daniel, you still alive?"
"Hyung is still alive, Jonghyun! What's up with Byunghun and Chanhee, eh?"
"You can bribe everyone with those yummy food you have, hyung. You can maybe stuff Byunghun's mouth with it and tell him to shut up afterwards! You will conquer.him with the power of Korean food!" Finally, Jonghyun with an idea that makes sense, although still eccentric like him.
Niel laughed very hard at it. He swore if his parents found him like this, they already thought that he's crazy. He shouted to the phone, still laughing, "YOU'RE BRILLIANT!"
"I already knew that, hyung! By the way, Changhyun said that Chanhee-hyung kinda likes Byunghun. Like as in wanting him as a boyfriend, so..."
"YUCK! THAT WAS GROSS"
"What? Chanhee-hyung liking boys? I thought we all know that he is bi?"
"No, don't get me wrong, Jonghyun. I am not homophobic at all. But the idea of someone liking Byunghun is gross, regardless of gender!"
"Ah, I see. But just do my plan so you can have less fucked up days once school starts, Niel-hyung! Peace! Peace is good! And you can make our Chanhee-hyung happy too!"
"Hmmmm."
"I'm running out of phone credits and I don't go to Jeju just to talk with you on the phone, so bye, hyung!" With that, the kid hung up before Niel can say bye too.
Lee Chanhee was like the best senior ever. He's good-looking, he's nice to most people, he did well on his studies, he also led the school music club well until he graduated last year. He continued high school in the same place, thus explaining why he knew Byunghun. He wasn't a sneak, he wasn't really nerdy, he knew how to be hilarious and to have fun (in a positive way) but not everyone likes him. Most people that doesn't are either jealous or frowning upon the fact that he's openly bisexual.
There's nothing wrong with it, but liking Byunghun was just weird according to Niel. He never fell in love with anyone so he have no idea about it-about why Chanhee-hyung likes him. Whatever.
He had dialed his senior's number for like the thousandth time and the number you're calling did not answer, please try again was the only reply he got. He almost brushed off the idea and asking for Byunghun's number via Jonghyun until when he redialed Chanhee's number and finally that person-and not some operator robot-answered, "Oh my, Daniel-ah! Sorry, I was out and my battery died on me so I didn't answered! What had brought you to your hyung?"
"Chanhee-hyung, mom asks me to invite someone over for dinner. You want to? You can bring along friends if you want to!" Niel said in a rather cheerful tone.
"Dinner? Sounds great. Mind if I bring my boyfriend with me?"
"CHANHEE-HYUNG HAS A BOYFRIEND?"Woot. I wrote it quicker than what I predicted. Less than half a day. Do you think I bombardize you with too much information in this chapter or is it okay?
