This might be only the second time I read this pairing, but I very much like this Teyla, seemingly calm and strong but a real complex person underneath who makes as many goofy blunders as John, who is just adorable! Would it be as insane of me as he's sure that he isn't to think that you like Peep Show?

Do you perhaps like Red Dwarf? That Llama farming in South America, but also the "hysterical" blundering! Yes, a British one - it takes some getting used to, but the internal monologue of the two guys whose povs make up the show is audible and I still do love it, you might find it amusing, too. :)

I do like Red Dwarf, but nothing in this fic was meant as a direct reference; I guess I just have a peculiarly British sense of humor. Odd, since I'm from the Midwestern United States.

I'm about a fourth of the way through this part, and it's dawned on me that John is basically J.D. from Scrubs (and Jennifer Keller is Elliot, but without the sexual experience - or the romance with the J.D. counterpart, thank goodness). Even if you haven't seen or don't like Scrubs, I'm still delighted!
