New guidelines regarding submissions! IMPORTANT!

After considering the various pros and cons, I've decided to change my policy regarding self-posting your submissions.

From now on, a writer may post their own drabble to the Community, so long as they adhere to the following guidelines:

1) You must have placed a claim to your pairing via email with the moderators, and received a positive response! This is absolutely essential to preventing duplicate pair postings! Without a confirmation you can't know if someone else has claimed a pairing, and it's horribly unfair to those who have followed the rules! Abuse of this will result in your submission being deleted!

2) Please cross-post; that is, post your drabble in the threads of both the characters of your pairing. For example, if you have claimed Harry/Ginny, post the finished drabble in the Harry Potter thread, and then again in the Ginny Weasley thread. The threads for specific characters are all linked on the Community Profile page.

3) If you can't find one or both of the characters in the list of threads, email us and we'll put it up: do not start the new thread yourself! Starting threads of discussion are fine, but the actual drabble threads must be created by a mod and linked from the Profile page.

4) Please follow the posting format:
  • The Subject line should contain nothing but the pairing (EX: Harry/Draco Malfoy) and the RATING of your submission (if you're not sure what rating to use, email us the drabble and ask).
  • The body should contain the title (if any), the pairing again and the story text. This format will hopefully make for easy identification if the threads get really long.
5) You are responsible for proofreading your own drabble, or getting a beta to help you. If you post a drabble that horribly abuses the English Language, it will be deleted and you will be asked to resubmit after cleaning it up. Small errors will be overlooked.

I'm trying not to make this too complicated, but with the potential size and number of submissions for this Challenge, I feel there have to be guidelines or things will get out of hand far too rapidly. There are more details on the Rules Page. If you have any questions about what's here please email me and I'll do my best to clear it up. Thanks!
