“Linds please…” Stella said sternly, a steadying hand on Linds’ shoulder. She pushed Linds back into her seat, blowing a few strands of curly brown hair out of gentle brown eyes. She finished cleaning the cut on Linds’ forehead and smoothed the girl’s loosely curled brown hair out of her brown eyes.
Linds looked up at Stella and tears came to her eyes. “Danny, Flack and Mac were in there…”
“I’m sure they’ll be fine…” Stella soothed, bending to kiss Linds’ forehead gently. “They’re strong and bright…”
Linds stood and clung to Stella, taking comfort from Stella’s presence and her loving hug.
