My contract is finally here~!

Yippeee!   My contract has finally come. 
My book is due November 1st, the second a year after that. 
Now I just need edits!

Yay! I just sent in my contract last week--very exciting. My next-draft delivery date is April 15, with a pub date of June 2010. Whenever I hear other peoples' schedules, mine seems super wonky. Do all publishers operate differently, or is my schedule just, well, wonky?

That draft delivery date does seem soon.

But then, mine doesn't specify drafts, just a date when the book is due. (Which I think is D&A, and comes after however many rounds of substantive editing and line editing, but before copy editing.)

Dunno. I guess I'm saying it does sound wonky but I'm way to ignorant to judge.
