Go Seth! I feel there's something missing here as to the why that Liesl is working at making better but maybe that will come out in future chapters.

This is what happens when tired and not reading far enough. You have answered the missing part.
Help me because I am tired and need to go back to sleep.. Stacy is which one?

Stacy is the sister who is just younger than Steven. The one who lives on the other coast and thinks gayness should be 'cured'.

That's all right. I should be in bed too, but my house is still 80 and I'm too hot to sleep.

*GROWLS at Stacy the bitch* Yes. Sic Jenn on her.

They've told us to conserve energy by turning the thermostats to 80, higher when we aren't home. Trying to protect the Texas power grid from cascading failure.
Totally understand it being too hot to sleep but I've skimped on sleeping for 2+ days running.

Does not help that school Libraries have to be kept at lower temperatures because of the books. So where I can't sleep I'm comfortable and not acclimating to high temperatures and at home I have to sleep in heat. Winter needs to come soon.

Seth did. She'll figure out how to keep Stacy quiet.

I had someone fixing the floors in my bathrooms and whenever he walked through my door he left it open. Now I understand that he needed the stuff that leveled out the floors to dry so he could lay the vinyl down and give me back my toilets, but now I have flies.

Sometimes it's easier to be hot, or cold, all the time. This back and forth stuff is hard to deal with. Last week I either worked by a broken door (locked open) or in the deli, where it's always 80. So I'm not as bad off as I could be.

And the temperature inside has lowered three tenths of a degree in the last hour. Maybe it will get down to 75 by dawn.

Poor Steven that letter must have burned. And Stacey, watever her thoughts can't she see Benedetto's need? people can be so caught up in their own importance *hiss* Where's grandma? I'm sure she'd have something to say.

Sweet Seth, so determined to be Steven's knight.

Liesl is a force to be reckoned with. It was a good day when Steven met her. He gave her what she wanted, she taught him to take care and while in a way she used him she has also always fought for him and his kids. You may not ever fully like her but you can be sure you'll respect her, as Seth is finding.

It killed him. And then to find out that Stacy wasn't going to help on the same day. The poor guy.

I didn't have enough room to say both Jenn and Gramma. Gramma will do her part, but I think Jenn might be able to exert more influence.

Seth to save the day.

If Steven hadn't met Liesl, he might not have survived his journey without permanent injury or imprisonment (she got him papers). He owes her a lot. But she owes him too, and she takes up his battles and fights on his side. I don't think Seth will ever like her, but yeah, he does respect her now.

Part of me thought Gramma would fight for her cub after allowing him to suffer when young but then I thought a bit more, gramma is using rose tinted lens. She'd speak to Stacey but it'll be up to Jen.

I wonder what she thinks of Seth *looks hopeful*

Gramma loses credibility with Stacy because she knew what was happening to Steven and didn't stop it. Stacy thinks she'd do the same thing again.
