He's got a lot to live with, poor Sheppard! There's a beautiful scene at one point where the base commander tells Sheppard there's nothing he could have done to save Sumner, and I paraphrased his reply in the last line: I have to live with it. That simple statement with so much packed into it inspired me for this.
