Sigh.

Oh, Starbuck.

The dynamic between those two is so toxic, and you really have it laid out so beautifully here, and with such simplicity.

That whole episode was so heartbreaking. And little Kara. Ugh.

(Thanks for introducing me to the show. ♥)

This was a really effective image. This whole thing seems so simple and straightforward, yet so painful and so full of layers.

Thank you so much! That line presented itself before I'd even considered writing a drabble, and it seemed so appropriate the rest had to follow.

Really! Poor Kara. Kids will do what's in their power, and she sure did what she could.

Oh, this is a really interesting insight into Kara and Socrata. The last line really makes it; it shows Kara's defiance and the way the abuse she suffered helped to make her who she is.

You really write great insights into Kara.

Thank you so much! I wish I could take more credit for it, but the memory's all canon. It begged to be drabbled for the perfect prompt, though.

Thank you! And yeah, I imagine Kara didn't have many options, but she certainly employed her usual out-of-the-box strategies even at a young age!
