I'm so glad you liked it! I just kept thinking about it, and it brought me to The Message, which brought me to Kaylee's hammock and Simon being a boob, as River so eloquently put it. (Right? Boob?)

I think the whole "Did it matter" vibe worked really well with this. It's a really apt emotion to be feeling after all the roller coaster emotions. And the mention of River worked really well, even as an aside, because you can't have Simon without River, but that aside let's River stand on her own as a character, even without being directly present.
