As promised, here is our small idea for a celebration! First of all, sorry it took so long to get it posted. However, we hope you all find this as much fun as we do, and that participation will be high :)
We think that we don't only speak for ourselves when we say that sometimes the muse doesn't comply with what we have lined up for us. We have made a claim, but the muse wants to go in an entirely different direction with the characters she wants us to write. There is no chance, we think, of us ever finishing our prompts table.
That's why we'd like to introduce this challenge as part of our celebration:
The Trading Claims Challenge
It will work thus:
1) You reply with your CPE, prompts table, and a prompt of yours you'd like to see written.
2) You look through the prompts put up for adoption and claim one that sets the muses into action. You do this simply by commenting to the reply of the person whose prompt you wish to claim. This is non-negotiable. You need to claim something in return.
3) Someone else will claim the prompt you have put up for adoption.
4) There will be words written: according to our rules at least 100. The drabble/fic you have written for someone else's prompt will get posted to the community with the tag of the person you have written for. This means: what you have written for someone else's prompt will count for them as another prompt done (but only if they write for someone else in return!). Likewise, what has been written for you will count as a prompt you have done. This way everyone gets something out of this! :)
5) After two weeks, we will see who has written something for someone else but did not receive anything in return. We will then open the claiming to outside participation, meaning to those who do not have anything claimed in the community or did not participate in the challenge by putting a prompt of theirs up for adoption. Or those who wish to write a second Trading Claims piece :)
