Summary: Sirius and Remus tell Harry about their first Halloween "together".
Warnings: Very fluffy boy love.
"So tell me, is it true that you two got together on Halloween?" Harry looked to his godfather and his lover.
"I suppose you could say it was a shocking revelation." Remus chuckled at his joke, while Harry looked at him with a curious grin.
"Your dad and I wanted to play a trick on Remy and Peter. We got up early in the morning and decorated the shack. We put spiderwebs all over the place, and charmed harmless spiders to roam around."
"Those spiders had fangs! They were man-eating monsters!"
"Anyway, James found an old skeleton in one of the dungeons," Harry wrinkled his nose, "Yes, I know, its a bit disgusting, but when its all you've got..."
A thunderclap startled the three of them. Remus smirked, "Hmph, typical." Harry looked up, a puzzled look on his face. Shaking his head, Remus answered Harry's silent question, "You'll understand soon."
"So James charmed the window to open when he said the word 'cold', and the skeleton was supposed to fly in when he said 'night'. There was a little bit of confusion though, because it really was a cold night, and your father was a bit of an idiot.
"So we're all sitting by the fire in a circle, your dad started telling a story. He starts it, but Peter interrupts, saying, 'It's cold, is anyone else cold?' And of course, James couldn't just shake his head, no, he had to say the word 'cold'."
"Now keep in mind, it started to storm outside, so you can imagine the look on Sirius' face when the window flew open and the wind blew the fire out."
Sirius shivered. "Right before James started up with the story again, there was a loud clap of thunder. As James said the words 'It was a cold night', the skeleton rose from the ground outside."
"He had impeccable timing, your father," Remus remembered, rubbing his forehead.
"Right when the skeleton got off the ground, it was struck by lightning. So here we are, the four of us, sitting in the dark, on Halloween, telling spooky stories, when a flaming skeleton floats through the window. All I remember is James running out of the shack, yelling 'Don't hurt me, no!' and Peter hiding in the closet, and my dear Remus here, screaming like a little girl, and jumping into my lap, yelling, 'Save me Sirius!' No one had the sense to put the burning skeleton out of its misery but me, of course."
"Excuse me, but I wasn't screaming like a girl! And if I'm not mistaken, you were terrified too!"
Harry was having a hard time controlling his laughter.
Sirius looked offended. "And just what do you find so funny?"
"What happened next?"
Remus looked at Sirius, smiling. "Your godfather tricked me."
"Oh, come off it. It wasn't a trick, it was a treat!"
"He said, 'I'll save you, in exchange for a date.' I reluctantly said, 'Fine.'"
Sirius scoffed, "Right, you were so against it, that's why you kissed me."
"Oh, the details don't matter," Remus claimed, "We're only boring Harry to tears."
He looked up at Harry and winked. Harry laughed at their bickering.
