One Piece - Zoro/Sanji - #95 Thoughtful

Dec 24, 2007 11:30

Title: Slumber
Fandom: One Piece
Characters: Zoro/Sanji
Prompt: #95 Thoughtful
Word Count: 155
Rating: PG
Summary: Shared warmth and private musings.

Zoro doesn’t say anything, just slumps down on the floor beside Sanji. It’s a chill night, and Sanji’s coat is pulled tightly around him, collar turned up to cover his chin, and he might consider pushing Zoro away, except it’s much warmer with another body pressed against his side.

They sit in silence, watching the horizon through the bitter night air, until Zoro’s breathing turns into snoring, and Sanji rolls his eyes but doesn’t wake him.

He’s never really considered it before, but maybe Zoro doesn’t like the cold. Maybe it doesn’t suit him, with his tanned skin and habit of walking around half-naked.

It still doesn’t explain why Zoro is pressed against his side when he could be snuggled up to any other member of the crew, and Sanji spends the rest of his watch trying not to think about that and failing miserably, Zoro sleeping peacefully beside him, head resting on his shoulder.
