"'Pulling out would give him extra days against the time when Achilles would meet his fate,'" Tomoyo read, before hugging the papers to her chest with a slightly dreamy sigh.

Sakuno should have known better than to ask, but her curiosity was piqued. "What is that?" she said, trying to catch a glimpse at what her friend was

"Just a bunch of stories I printed off the net. Fanfic," Tomoyo said, waving a dismissive hand before flipping the page. She was completely engrossed within seconds.

"Fanu-ficu?" Sakuno echoed.

Tomoyo's smile turned sly as she set down the stack. "Fanfic," she said, more careful with her pronunciation. "It's stories based on other things people like, like movies or books. A lot of it is crappy, but some of it is just sooooo good!" She rustled the papers before finding what she was looking for. "Here, sit and read."

Sakuno obediently sat down on the step beside her best friend. The tennis team had gone to a one-day training camp, and it wasn't like she had something better to be doing. It only took a page for her to start gurgling in shock. "This has... they're kissing!" Sakuno exclaimed, a blush on her cheeks.

"Isn't it hot?" Tomoyo asked.

"But... they're both boys!" Sakuno exclaimed, knowing she should be thrusting this back at her friend. She'd heard of shonen ai and yaoi, but being relatively innocent, hadn't read them. Good girls weren't interested in that kind of thing.

"I know," Tomoyo said, a lascivious smile on her lips. "If you don't like it, you can give it back."

Sakuno easily dodged Tomoyo's playful attempt to take the story back. "I didn't say I didn't like it," she said hurriedly.
