I also rewatched that not long ago and thought it was great all the way up to the too-long mining cart race. That scene takes forever. Otherwise, cool and fun and exciting.

Easily the second best of the four.

Edit the dragon? I was leery of the one publicity photo I saw of 'Race to Witch Mountain'. Now that I've seen the movie trailer, I'm a believer! It gets shuffled into the 2009 Watchmen/G.I. Joe/Star Trek/Harry Potter mix. And it had a trailer during Superbowl! Maybe "The Subtle Knife" will rise above "The Golden Compass" and join them. I hear the next Narnia movie has an improved chance of not sucking (or not). I'll skip the theatre visit for "Transformers 2", though ( ... )
