I had to google Calimero, as he doesn't seem to have crossed the Channel :-) He's very cute!
But alas, the point of that one is that it will never be a baby bird - I found it outside my greenhouse, which is nowhere near anywhere a bird could nest, so it was probably stolen and eaten by a predator :-(
I was just taking shots of the beans for my own journal, as they're a new variety I'm growing this year and they're paler than the usual sort. and then when I uploaded the pictures to my computer I spotted the broken outer shell and thought "Aha!" :-)
I was taking shots of the beans for my own journal because they're a new variety and s different colour from the usual ones and then I uploaded tham and spotted the one with the damaged outer layer and thought "aha!' :-)
(Incidentally, what's up with comment notifications just now? I'm not getting some of them for ages and some I don't seem to be getting at all...)
What variety are the beans? I love the peachyness of them.
Yes, comment notifications are either late in or entirely absent for me at the moment. So I shall take the opportunity to apologise if I've missed anything from you that should have been replied to! :)
The bean was actually a pure accident - I took some shots of them for my own journal because they're a new variety and an unusual colour, and it was only when I uploaded them that I saw the damaged one and went "Aha!" :-)
It feels good to have posted something to this comm again - I was beginning to think I'd never get any further with List 2!

I especially like green; it's so full of hope for the new season. The whole set is lovely.

Ironically, green is the ancient plum tree on the allotment, which is going to be removed as it was badly damaged a while ago...

They're called "St George" and are new from Thompson and Morgan this year.
I love the peachyness of them.
yes, I was very struck by the unusual colour. I've had bicolour flower beans before, but the actual beans were the usual purpley colour on those.
