Just recently joined the community, and this is my first post. I'm still getting used to using LJ for anything other than blogging, so bear with me if I make some mistakes! Anyway, here are my first 3 pictures. Hope you like them! :)

My sister! Yay! I saw these on Facebook, but forgot to comment on them there. I love all of these. Great shots! What's the bird in "feathered"?

LoL, heya! I wondered if you watched this comm on a regular basis. The bird is actually a brown pelican with his beak tucked under his wing (he was sleepin'). D and I were out driving around and came across the bird refuge in St. Pete, so we stopped and took a look. Lots of neat pics from there, keep an eye on FB for them.

Thank you! I was really happy to get that shot for Drops. I'm still learning the ins and outs of my camera, so high-speed shots are new for me. I had a lot of fun taking these. :D

These are all stunning, great set. Drops is perfect and I love the subject in blue, but feathered is my favorite!

Thank you! I've had a few people ask me "What IS that?" about feathered. I thought the pelican was so cute, snoozing with his head under his wing. He woke up right after I took this. So much luck involved in photography sometimes!
