An unsetting set of pictures.
I do not know one, single, solitary lung cancer survivor but I have known, personally, five people who died of it. I hope a smoker looks at your pictures and thinks twice before lighting up again.

Thanks! It's a combination photo post/public service announcement. :-) But, to illuminate the subject further, 10-15% of lung cancer patients never smoked, and my mom was one of those 'lucky' few.
*Hugs* I'm so sorry for your loss, it's a horrible thing to have happen.
Thank you. It was horrible (especially for him) but it could have been worse - he was 87, which is longer than a lot of people get. He and my Mum had been married over 50 years.
i have a picture much like the last one from the last walk i did. it's an older man, standing off to the side with a white balloon. those were for survivors. something about him struck me as so sad.

Thank you. It was horrible (especially for him) but it could have been worse - he was 87, which is longer than a lot of people get. He and my Mum had been married over 50 years.
