Oh, I like these, Carol, except what you've chosen for beauty I definitely would have chosen for weird - I find it rather alien, Wyndhamesque, even. Secret is lovely [what plants are these two?], trajectory requires an explanation of what in the world it is, and titanium is perfect - just there waiting for someone from this community to find it! It's a really lovely set.
It does look a tiny bit as if a Facehugger might pop out of it :-) But I liked the velvety ribs on the will-be seedpod and the fluffy bits around it, backed by the glowing orange petals. And besides, I've already done weird :-)
what plants are these two?]
They're actually the same plant - secret is the bud that opens into beauty, hence the out of number sequence posting of the themes :-) They're an Oriental Poppy on my allotment, and I was beginning to fear that it wouldn't open until we go off for our holiday, but today it decided to oblige :-)

It's the opening mechanism of a canal lock gate. One pushes on the large bar and uses the sticking-up bricks to gain traction if the footing is wet - so they mark out the path you take, ergo, trajectory :-)
titanium is perfect
That one was Rob's idea - it's his folding knife for going camping :-)

They're actually the same flower, about ten days apart :-)

Yes - it's an Oriental poppy and I've been waiting more-or-less patiently for it to open for a couple of weks :-)
Thanks for the kind words.
