Huh, would you look at that :) It's rather astonishing what people will pay good money for. What shape do boots acquire if you don't keep them on trees? Do they slip silently into hexagons when folk aren't looking? "Crap, my boots don't fit, they've gone all fish-shaped, and I only wore them yesterday."
Aren't crocuses just the happiest flowers ever? I can't see the first ones without smiling... and I love big patches like this, where the bulbs have divided and established themselves.
Awwww, friend is adorable. Discard is great, I love sepia and I'm puzzled as to why there would be a tree full of shoes, but it makes a great photo. One is lovely, such a cute little bird and it looks great in it's stark surroundings. Spring is my favorite, probably because it doesn't seem to be in any hurry to arrive here.
We're having a really quite nice Spring now that the cold snap is 'over'*, and all the spring flowers are coming up nicely. I've even got stupid tulips starting to flower.
*I probably just jinxed us right back into winter.

I love the sunshiney crocuses and the winding staircase too.
And the boot-tree, although I always thought that meant something slightly different :-)

There's a meaning to boot-trees? Do tell!

They're doobries ( like this one) to keep your boots in shape when you're not wearing them.
I'm not sure how I know the term, since I'm pretty sure I've never been in the presence of one :-)

The crocus flowers made me happy, I have some starting to peek out in my yard telling me that spring is almost here!
