Oh lovely! Are those Ankole cattle in black? They're beautiful anyway. And hard is a good interpretation, but I think edge is my favourite of this set - I really like the contrast of the flat deck and the ruffled water with the line of the railing leading through.
Yes, they're called Watusi over here, but are the same breed, I just love cattle.
They have those at Longleat Safari Park over here (which is a long way from here, but on TV regularly in a show called Animal Park) which is how I recognised them - who says you don't learn anything from television? :-)
Looking forward to going back to Mull in a few weeks and hopefully getting some pictures of the Highland Cows there - there's a small herd at the place we'll be staying, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Thanks so much. You're right, those cattle have some serious defense mechanisms. "You want to slaughter me? Fine, try and avoid my massive pointy horns!"
Hehe, all the comments about the cattle are just as good as that shot. Man, look at them. I don't think I've ever been that close to cattle with horns that big. And Edge is so interesting! Until I looked at it again, for some reason I had the perspective messed up, thinking the water was right up against that railing. I was confused, but it still looks awesome.

Hard is very cool, it's nice seeing the detail in such a cool phenomenon that people don't usually pay attention to.

I am a macro-aholic and I have an outstanding lens for my 35mm, thanks.
